SPIVEY'S CORNER, NORTH CAROLINA
Spivey’s Corner is a census-designated place in North Carolina’s Sampson County. In the year 2000 the CDP population was 448 persons. The area is home to the ‘infamous’ National Hollerin’ Contest and has been every year since 1969. The Hollerin Contest is said to be more than just about “hollerin” it reaches to have a meaning of connection and long term communication to individuals in different areas.
